Reddit Video Downloader HD: What to Know
Why Reddit videos lose their sound, and how this fixes it.
This Reddit Video Downloader HD saves Reddit videos as one MP4 with sound, in the best quality the post has. Reddit has no download button for videos, and the usual tricks often give you a clip with no sound, because Reddit stores the picture and the audio as two separate files. This tool joins them back together.
Send the MP4 in WhatsApp, Discord or email, where Reddit links don't play. No signup is needed, on Reddit or here.
It is safe and secure: no malware, and nothing you download is stored or shared.
Full post links and short /s/ share links from the app both work, and downloads run at high speed.
It is 100% free, with no limit on how many videos you save.
Paste the link of a post from any public subreddit and you see the qualities Reddit has for that video, in HD when it was uploaded in HD. Choose a high quality to watch on a big screen or a lower one for a smaller file on your phone.
It's handy for keeping funny clips, tutorials, news footage and memes before a post is deleted, or for sharing a Reddit video in a chat app that can't open Reddit links.
Posts in private subreddits, and posts that have been removed, can't be downloaded. Links to videos hosted on other sites are not Reddit videos — use that site's own downloader.

Frequently asked questions
Answers about saving videos from Reddit.
How do I download a Reddit video?
Grab the link of the Reddit post, submit it on this page, then save the MP4 in the quality you want.
Why do Reddit videos download without sound?
Reddit keeps the audio in a separate file. This tool joins the two, so your MP4 has sound.
Do Reddit share links work?
Yes. The short reddit.com/r/…/s/… links from the Share button work like full post links.
What is the best quality for Reddit videos?
The top option in the list. It is HD whenever the poster uploaded an HD video.
Why does a Reddit link not work?
The post may be in a private subreddit, removed, or a link to a video on another website.
Can I download Reddit videos without watermark?
Yes. The MP4 comes straight from Reddit's own video file, with no watermark or logo added.
