Instagram Thumbnail Downloader: What to Know
What a Reel cover is and how to use it.
This Instagram thumbnail downloader saves the cover every Reel and video post has: the still image that shows on the profile grid and in the feed before the video plays. Creators often pick a strong frame or design a cover with text, so it is the image that sums up the video best.
Each cover shows as a preview on the page before you download it.
Covers are saved uncompressed and are 100% free to download.
Paste the link and this tool shows the cover in the sizes Instagram has, so you can download the one you need as an image file.
People use Reel covers as a preview in a blog post or presentation, to plan a neat-looking profile grid, or to keep the covers of their own Reels. If the Reel isn't yours, credit the creator and ask before using it publicly.
Public accounts only. For the full video, use the Instagram Reels Downloader.
